The perspective behind Narrative Dynamic Vectors.

The Perspective
Every organization tells a story. Every leader leaves patterns behind. My work is helping people recognize those patterns before they become outcomes.
Direction changes long before results do.

WHY I NOTICE PATTERNS
The world is always communicating.

PPeople often ask how I seem to notice connections that others overlook. The answer is less mysterious than it sounds.
For years, I’ve been fascinated by the invisible forces that shape organizations, relationships, leadership, and communication.
I’ve never been content to simply observe what happened.
I wanted to understand why it happened, what signals appeared beforehand, and what assumptions quietly changed the direction of events.
Over time I realized that nearly every challenge leaves evidence before it leaves consequences.
Organizations drift before they decline.
Opportunities gather momentum before they become obvious.
Culture changes long before anyone writes a new mission statement.
Those signals are everywhere once you learn to recognize them.
Narrative Dynamic Vectors grew from that habit of observation.
My work isn’t about predicting the future.
It’s about helping people see the direction they’re already moving while there’s still time to influence it.
WHY STORIES MATTER
Stories reveal what systems conceal.

Writing fiction taught me something I never expected when I returned to that longtime dream and transformed it into current reality.
A believable story requires the same discipline as a successful organization.
Characters must behave consistently.
Institutions must have internal logic.
Decisions create consequences.
Readers instinctively recognize when something no longer fits, just as customers and employees recognize when a business stops behaving like itself.
The more I wrote, the more I realized stories are compressed models of human behavior.
They expose incentives, reveal culture, and demonstrate how leadership shapes outcomes.
A company isn’t simply a collection of products or services.
It’s a narrative that customers, employees, partners, and investors decide to inhabit.
That perspective fundamentally changed how I think about strategy.
Communication became more than messaging.
Culture became more than values on a wall.
Every interaction became part of a larger story people were already telling about an organization.
WHY STRATEGY BECAME THE DESTINATION
Ideas matter when they become action.

My professional journey has crossed technology, marketing, product launches, consulting, podcast production, and now fiction.
At first glance those might seem like unrelated chapters.
Looking back, they were all teaching the same lesson.
Every discipline ultimately came down to understanding people.
Technology succeeds when people adopt it.
Marketing succeeds when people trust it.
Leadership succeeds when people believe in it.
Strategy succeeds when people move together toward a common direction.
Eventually I realized I was less interested in executing individual tactics than in understanding the forces that made those tactics succeed or fail.
Strategy became the place where all those experiences converged.
Everything else had been preparation.
WHY NDV EXISTS
To make complexity easier to see.

Narrative Dynamic Vectors wasn’t created to add another consulting framework to the world.
It was created because I repeatedly saw talented leaders surrounded by information yet struggling to interpret what mattered most.
Businesses generate enormous amounts of data.
Meetings generate opinions.
Markets generate noise.
Hidden within all of that are the signals that explain where an organization is headed.
These same signals reveal what can still be changed before today’s decisions become tomorrow’s realities.
The methodologies you’ll find throughout this site are simply the lenses I’ve developed over years of observing organizations, stories, systems, and people.
Their purpose isn’t to make strategy more complicated.
It’s to make complexity more understandable.
HOW WE MIGHT WORK TOGETHER
Every engagement begins with curiosity.

No two organizations face exactly the same situation. This is why I don’t believe every client should receive the same process.
Sometimes the right answer is a single conversation.
Sometimes it’s an ongoing strategic relationship.
Sometimes it’s recognizing that the real challenge isn’t the one everyone has been talking about.
If the ideas throughout this site resonate with you, the next step isn’t a sales presentation.
It’s a conversation.
We’ll explore what’s happening and identify the signals that deserve attention.
Then we can together determine whether Narrative Dynamic Vectors is the right fit for your situation.
This can happen very quickly.
Again, the current environment of business is rapid, asynchronous, and insists on dynamic response.
The goal has never been to provide more information.
It’s to help people see their own situation with greater clarity – and make better decisions because of it.
Every organization has a story. Every decision creates momentum. Every leader leaves signals behind. My work is helping people recognize those signals before they become outcomes. If this perspective resonates with you, let’s begin the conversation.
Every meaningful engagement starts with a conversation.
